Homopolymer polypropylene is a plastic material that has encountered an enormous variety of uses since its development due to the extreme versatility that distinguishes it.
It is characterized by strong resistance, that is, technically, by a high breaking load, which allows it to withstand strong pressures before reaching structural failure.
Characteristics of homopolymer polypropylene
Homopolymer polypropylene is then able to withstand thermal changes of a certain extent (even rather high temperatures, higher than those normally experienced by more cheap plastic materials) and resists abrasion excellently.
This makes it an optimal material for the production of furnishing objects, but it has also been used quite frequently in the textile industry, for the production of synthetic fibers (for example, excellent carpets can be made from polypropylene).
